I had a good signal here and was just downloading an RT email from HK with picture (leave that to your imagination) when noticed volunteer coastie was waving at me. I was surprised by state of technology. I thought these guys just had a look out every now and again. Watched a French trawler carve across shipping lanes, clicked with mouse to reveal name, speed, owner......amazing. Turned out this guy was retired commercial pilot, and has a mate with son working with RT.
Wow small world!! I flew with st john Stephens as a first officer. We got sent to the sin bin in Bali because he gave the controllers a bollocking for poor English!!
