So how am I really getting on ? High points and low points ? Lonely ?
I tap this out from the Five Pilchards at Porthallow, which has a stone marker outside signifying the SWCP half way point. Bang on Target at day 20.
Nick, the Helford Ferryman, asked after the high points. I could only answer 'each day '. Each brings another view to marvel at.
I dont have lows. I have mid afternoons with the rucky feeling heavy, but mind over body, dig in and reward with a pint of Tribute.
I do miss Jo and the girls, and am seeing Jo tomorrow on her Dad's birthday .
I just feel incredibly lucky to have had this opportunity to walk the whole 630 miles in one go. And as you can see from photo have a fixed permanent grin. (Ferryboat Inn)
Just loving every moment.
Starting in April 2011,Richard Maunder will be going for a 630 mile stroll from Poole to Minehead, raising awareness and funds for ELF (Exeter Leukaemia Fund). ELF supporters and SWCP walking enthusiasts are invited to join me for sections of the trail in return for a donation to ELF via Virgin Money Giving. For more details about why I am raising funds for this great charity please visit my donation page at virginmoneygiving.com
